Cat Proof Your Home for your Himalayan Siamese

People do not realize that their homes are dangerous to pets. The fact is that many home have things sitting or out around which will kill or severely injure your Himalayan Siamese cat. Things like plant, appliances, doors, window blinds, medications, soap, cleaning products, pesticides, motor oils, and antifreeze. Any one or these will cause illness or the fatality of your Himalayan Siamese. Other things in and around your home and yard are dangers to your pet or pets as well.

Beautiful houseplants in your home you choose for the color and the way the plants look as well as to decorate your home are toxic or poisonous to the Himalayan Siamese. Some plants can kill or make your Himalayan Siamese extremely ill. Owners must check to see if the plants in the home will harm the Himalayan Siamese.

Your kitchens are a danger zone as well any appliance cords that hang loosely or over the edge of the counter, or glass containers, glasses, or cook stoves are all potential dangers to you Himalayan Siamese. The Himalayan Siamese could pull small appliances on top of itself; glass if tipped or even fall to the floor and break can injure the Himalayan Siamese. Your cook stoves are a potential hazard. Many cleaning products or soaps you use daily to clean your home are poisonous to the Himalayan Siamese. Keep all these types of products locked away where the Himalayan Siamese cannot reach or consume them.

Motor oil and even antifreeze are toxic to pets and to a Himalayan Siamese. The organs will seize and stop functioning if the pet ingests any of either of these products. Owners need to dispose of these types of products properly to avoid an accidental ingestion of the products.

Simply doing some research about what things in and around the home that may be toxic or poisonous to your Himalayan Siamese or even other pets in the home will prevent an accident. Much of this information is easy to find on the Internet and at your local library.

It is in the pets' best interest to do this research long before the pet is allowed inside the home to insure that the home is safe and will not harm your Himalayan Siamese. No owner wants harm to come to their pet they love so take the steps to keep your Himalayan Siamese in a safe home.
